At Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology of Issaquah, Inc. we provide a wide variety of the latest injectable treatments for minimally-invasive facial rejuvenation. Treatments with botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid and other popular cosmetic injections are routinely administered at our Seattle area dermatology practice.

Botox® is the pharmaceutical company trade name for Botulinum Toxin Type A, a purified toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. When very small doses of Botox are injected directly into a specific facial muscle, the action of that muscle will be relaxed. This mechanism allows problems like a twitch, spasm or frown line to relax and become less apparent for several months. Along with its cosmetic indications for glabellar frown lines, Botox is commonly used to treat excessive sweating.

Dysport is another product that uses a purified form of the botulinum toxin that is FDA approved for cosmetic use. Treatment with Dysport can temporarily reduce wrinkles by blocking the transmission of signals from the nerves to the facial muscles. Dr. Michalak may recommend Dysport for the treatment of forehead lines, frown lines and other facial wrinkles. If you have dynamic wrinkles that are caused by aging and facial expression, you may be a good candidate for Dysport treatment.

Sculptra is a long-lasting injectable filler made with poly-L-lactic acid, a substance derived from the alpha hydroxy acid family. Made by the pharmaceutical sanofi-aventis, Sculptra Aesthetic is FDA approved for treatment of facial folds and other contour depressions on the skin.

Radiesse is a wrinkle filler that can provide a long lasting correction of facial wrinkles and folds. Made with calcium microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, Radiesse is biocompatible, durable and easy to use. Nearly any wrinkle can be treated with Radiesse. You may want to consider Radiesse if you exhibit wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines and other unwanted skin depressions.

Restylane and Perlane are widely used for the temporary correction of facial wrinkles and folds. Made with a special NASHA (non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid) Restylane is injected beneath the skin to act as a hydrator and cushioning agent, effectively reducing the appearance of wrinkles for several months.

Juvederm® injectable gel is a popular treatment for the temporary correction of facial wrinkles and folds. Made with stabilized, colorless hyaluronic acid, Juvederm is injected beneath the skin to act as a hydrator and cushioning agent, effectively reducing the appearance of wrinkles for several months.
