Suzi Miner, PA-C

Suzi, our Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) and injection specialist, performs a wide variety of cosmetic and dermatological treatments. She performs skin cancer and skin mapping screenings, biopsies, laser treatments, injectable treatments, and photorejuvenation. “I have extensive training in the use of lasers," she says "including Fraxel, Alexandrite, Vbeam, Ulthera, and Thermage.

Lasers are used to tighten skin, improve skin tone around the chin, jaw, neck and stomach areas, and treat premature signs of aging that result from overexposure to the sun, including age spots, wrinkling and uneven skin tone. Suzi understands why patients are discerning about their appearance goals. She says, “I go out of my way to make sure my patients get the most current and accurate information and the best medical care. I truly enjoy the work I do."

Suzi received her B.S. degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego. She became a certified EMT, and then completed her 3-year P.A. training at USC in Los Angeles, specializing in family medicine. She has worked in a variety of clinical environments, including a medical spa. Prior to coming to our Issaquah dermatology practice, she spent six years providing medical aesthetic dermatology and laser treatments.

Stacey Bryant, Physician Assistant Certified

As our Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C), Stacey Bryant provides comprehensive skin care with special attention paid to the early detection of atypical moles and skin cancers.

When you meet with Stacey here in Issaquah, you can expect to find a friendly, caring, and knowledgeable provider who will listen to you and provide you with sound evidence-based medicine that is up to date with the current standard of care.

"My philosophy of patient care is to treat all patients with encouragement and understanding," Stacey says. "Many times in dermatology, skin conditions are not curable – only treatable. It is my job to help them through their condition and be a support system for them."

Stacey has years of experience in this field, previously working as a PA-C for another dermatologist who specialized in skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment. She has ample knowledge of skin cancer, as well as skin conditions like dermatitis, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, hair loss, and warts.

Before she became a PA-C, she worked at a Santa Monica biotechnology firm whose goal was to find a cell-based treatment for diabetic patients. She assisted their efforts to encapsulate beta islet pancreatic cells that would be transplanted into diabetic patients, with the goal being to have a functional pancreas.

At our Issaquah practice, Stacey can educate you about all treatment options. "I enjoy providing patients with educational information they can understand and easily incorporate into their lives to improve their quality of life," she explains. "I feel that the more people understand their condition the better they are able to cope with and adjust their lives accordingly."

Stacey is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). She holds a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of St. Francis in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Biotechnology from California State University, Fullerton.

Leslie Carney, Medical Aesthetician

Leslie, our Licensed Medical Aesthetician, has 30 years of experience in patient care. She can help you with a personalized skin care consultation, which includes advice about choosing a product or treatment that will help your skin looks its best. Leslie offers specialized chemical peels, medical grade facials, and skin care products that enhance surgical outcomes. “We use pharmaceutical-grade skin care products and give our patients all  the information they need to take care of their skin," she says.

Patients of all ages come to Leslie for acne treatment, and they get a customized plan with special peels, oral or topical medication, and microdermabrasion. “My acne patients are wonderful to work with and highly motivated to do all they can to attain good skin," she says. "I help them understand exactly what they need to do for optimal results, monitor their progress carefully, and empower them to take charge of their skin care. They are so excited when they see their skin get better."

At different ages, people have different skin care needs," she says. "Patients over 30 usually need an anti-aging regimen to plump up fine lines and wrinkles, open pores for deep cleansing, and lighten sun spots and areas of discoloration. For those over 40, my goal is to give them the best choices of proven products and treatments and the knowledge they need to eventually be their own aesthetician.
